O'Laughlin Industries is a privately owned company headquartered in Hong Kong producing a range of chemicals( Erythritol, Xylitol, Polyols ) and ingredients used in flavors, fragrances, food, beverages, cosmetics and related industries. The company's five production facilities are located in China.

O'Laughlin produces a range of synthetic and natural aroma chemicals as well as certain food and cosmetics raw materials, plant extracts, Erythritol, Xylitol, Polyols and essential oils. Its products are sold to world markets such as North America, Europe, Japan, South and Southeast Asia,as well as in China.

O'Laughlin was established in 1980 by its owner and chief executive Michael O'Laughlin, when he moved to Beijing, China and established a small office. Since then it has grown to be a world class producer of chemicals, with significant production facilities in China for Erythritol, Xylitol, Polyols, and distribution and sales in all major world markets.

O'Laughlin's factories are located in Tianjin in north China, central Jiangsu Province, southern Jiangsu near Shanghai, Guangxi Autonomous Region in southwest China, and Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, across from Hong Kong. O'Laughlin has administrative offices in Shanghai, and research and development facilitiesinShanghai,Kunshan and Tianjin.

O'Laughlin maintains a strict quality control program to assure consistent quality product. Incoming raw materials and outgoing products are tested both by chemicalanalysis and by odorpanel olfactory standards.

O'Laughlin research and development are done in its laboratories in China. The laboratories have a full range of sophisticated laboratory equipment. Instruments include gas-liquid chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, and gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer, infra-red ultraviolet and visible spectro-photometer. O'Laughlin's laboratories are staffed by qualified chemists including Ph.D.s from major universities. O'Laughlin has cooperation agreements with recognized universities for development of new products.
